Let's face it, today's leaders require new approaches to managing societies and organizations. The challenge to effective leadership is more evident than ever before in modern history. Consider the fact that in the last three years, we grappled with a global pandemic, a race and social justice movement, a politically polarized U.S. election, a brazen attack on the U.S. Capitol Building, and the Russian-Ukraine war, which led to a global economic crisis. Solving today's problems will require leaders to develop other leaders. Doing so highlights the need to cultivate social characteristics and behaviors that effectively influence others who might not look, think and act like you.

Dr. Mukendi is a second-generation American who has lived and worked in several countries across the globe. His compelling recollection of growing up in war-torn and culture-clashing societies emphasizes the need for global inclusive leadership. The GIL Framework takes a pragmatic approach to leadership know-how. The three central attributes of the GIL Framework, Intersectionality, Morality, and Accountability, provide the requisite pillars for inclusive behavior necessary for our changing world.

"Global Inclusive Leadership (GIL) was birthed from the idea that organizations are going through a shift. This shift will require focusing on being the best "for" the world rather than being the best "in" the world."
